Dr. Radu Tanase, Maria Poiaganova, and Prof. René Algesheimer received a grant from the University of Zurich Teaching Fund (Open Innovation) for their project, “Evidence-Based Framework for Responsible Generative AI Usage in Higher Education.”

With concerns rising over the use of generative AI in learning, universities have become crucial places for fostering responsible and effective integration of this technology. To support this mission, the project offers a two-fold contribution: it proposes an analytics framework to assess GenAI’s impact on learning while also developing a responsible, effective GenAI chatbot to enhance learning outcomes.

This initiative marks a key step toward the use of generative AI in the classroom, blending innovation with a commitment to a sustainable learning environment.
